About HMR HMR is a national contractor providing underground and surface DRILLING, MINING and RAISEBORING services to clients across Australia. The Role We are seeking an experienced FEL Operator to support underground mining operations on King Island. You will operate a Volvo L120 front end loader to assist with materials handling, load and haul activities, and general underground support tasks, helping ensure safe and efficient site operations in a remote mining environment. Key Details Location: King Island, Tasmania Roster: 14:14 FIFO from Major Cities Accommodation and meals provided Full-time, permanent positions Responsibilities Operate Volvo L120 FEL in underground and surface support roles Load, move, and distribute materials, aggregates, and equipment Support shotcrete, development, and production crews as required Carry out daily machine inspections and basic maintenance checks Ensure safe operating practices in line with site procedures Maintain clean and organised work areas and equipment Qualifications / Requirements Experience operating FELs in mining or heavy industrial environments Experience on Volvo L120 or similar loader highly regarded Valid tickets/licences as required for mobile plant operations Strong commitment to safety and teamwork Australian citizen or permanent resident Pass pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol screening Police clearance within 6 months Why HMR?
